Sara Hennessy, OTR/L is certified in ASTYM therapy and
conducts this highly trained service out of the Sumner
clinic within Community Memorial Hospital. ASTYM
treatment is an evidence-based rehab program specifically
designed to treat degenerative tendinopathies and scar
tissue that can interfere with recovery after surgery or
injury. It stimulates the body to regenerate and heal,
decreases pain, enhances mobility and keeps patients
active. ASTYM therapy has proven effective in the
treatment of lateral epicondylosis (tennis elbow), medial
epicondylosis (golfer’s elbow), carpel tunnel syndrome
and post-op joint replacements, to name a few. Physician
referral is required. For more information on ASTYM
treatment, please call one of the two Performance Rehab sites or visit
